I am Dr. Vrunda Karanjgaokar, a Consultant Gynaecologist, Gynaecological Oncologist, Colposcopist, and Robotic Surgeon based in Prabhadevi, Mumbai. I hold an MD from Bombay University, DNB in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, MRCOG (UK), and a CCT in OBG, with over 32 years of medical experience, including 27 years as a specialist.

My medical journey began at Tata Memorial Hospital in the Gynaecological Oncology Department, where I gained deep expertise in handling complex cancer cases. This foundational experience shaped my clinical focus early in my career.

I later pursued a Fellowship in Gynaecological Endoscopy at BEAMS under Dr. Rakesh Sinha. This training refined my skills in minimally invasive surgery, which remains integral to the treatment I provide today.

In 2001, I moved to the UK for advanced training. I completed a five-year Specialist Training Programme in London, followed by a two-and-a-half-year Fellowship in Gynaecological Oncology at a prestigious Cancer Centre in the Greater Midlands.

My experience as a Consultant in the NHS further strengthened my capabilities, allowing me to work within a multidisciplinary environment while delivering personalized, evidence-based care to a diverse patient population.

After returning to Mumbai in 2011, I practiced at Saifee Hospital, Charni Road, for 10 years, while integrating global standards of care with local healthcare needs. My approach remains rooted in empathy, trust, and excellence.

I also consult at multiple hospitals across Mumbai including S L Raheja, Shushrusha, Masina, Wockhardt, Apollo Spectra, and Sushrut, and also have operating rights at Surya, Breach Candy Hospital & Glen Eagles - Parel. At my Shivaji Park clinic, I focus on managing gynaecological cancers and pre-cancerous conditions.
